ABOUT:

Qigong - a system of Chinese health exercises - is a practice for leading and guiding vital energy in the body.  In ancient times it was referred to as Yang Sheng - a practice for nurturing life or better, becoming the best version of yourself. Posture, movement, breath training, meditation and guided imagery are all part of the practice - methods that teach you how to gather, cleanse and circulate your energy. A harmonious flow of qi in the body promotes a feeling of freshness, health and vitality. You now have potential for renewal and restored harmony of mind, body and spirit. You are empowered to transform from within. When people ask me why I do t’ai chi and qigong my answer is simple: because I know it has amazing benefits to health and perhaps more simply, because it feels so good.

My work is grounded in the fundamental principle of harmonising energy in the physical body. All the systems I teach have a solid and proven record for their benefits to physical, mental and emotional well-being.

What You Can Learn:

  • Tai chi qigong;

  • 8 Brocades;

  • 5 Element Qigong;

  • Yi Quan;

  • Guided Imagery Meditation;

  • T'ai Chi Ch'uan (Yang Style)

I am also available for External Qi Healing Sessions - a practice similar to non-therapeutic touch whereby I will assess and re-balance your ‘qi’.

Over the years I have witnessed often dramatic changes in the health and well-being of both myself and my students. The duration of time I work with people can vary greatly, from one-off sessions to on-going weekly classes.  One thing I am certain of - regardless of the time spent with individuals - is that qigong works. The results are noticeable and it is common for me to hear students say they feel relaxed, at peace, energised and a whole lot better, even after one single session.

Qigong is simplicity in action. Regardless of your physical ability and even if you are new to exercise, you will find great benefit from the practice of this beautiful art.
